Art Deco, born in the 1920s, was a movement that celebrated the rising mechanised world that simultaneously represented modernity and the future. In fact, not only was it fashionable, it was plentiful. Although Art Deco remained a dominant style throughout the 30s, it served as a bittersweet monument of a better time; a reminder of the years of wealth and decadence.
